Give Thanks to Sugar

This was one of those wonderful shoots that wasn’t supposed to happen. ~Valentich and I were sort of half planning shoots half just chatting while driving around all say, soon as it started getting dark we decided to do a shoot (I know, great timing).

This was taken at one of Sydney’s most famous cathedrals. For some bizarre reason, all the stone work around Sydney gets thrown in this weird orange light – I guess they this it looks more majestic or something - the good thing about it is that it can make some really awesome shadow effects along walls and bodies and such.

Yes I know, the name is a little silly, but it was in regards to Abbot Sugar, one of the most influential people behind the gothic architecture movement. I wanted to try to find a way to link ‘gothic’, ‘cathedral’ and ‘BBW’ together – who better then one of the founders with a sweetly misleading name (no pun intended ). I like to think the “give thanks” part would be referring to both the fact that Abbot Sugar was a monk and I really love chocolate.
