Since I was a kid I’ve had this odd obsession with industrial areas, my parents being academics (both in medicine… ew) the closest I ever came to a mechanic was drive through a back street while lost, I think I’ve always admired the grungy griminess of these places – all the bright colours with splashes of dirt all over them. These places always seemed very taboo during my childhood of privet schools, piano lesions and horse riding.

So, while scouting for interesting places I jumped at the idea of an industrial area, ~Valentich really wanted something with crates while I really wanted something with dumpsters – sorry mum and dad. A few weeks earlier we made a friend at Anglicare's clothing donations, she was able to find a (very horrible) cream formal dress – it was sleeveless, puffy, with cream and brown stripes, and of course we just had to use it, although it did smell horrible and we ended up dumping it as soon as the shoot was over.

Yeah, so I’m really loving Photoshop at the moment lol. I’ve always really loved these ‘double’ shots – are they called double exposed? I don’t remember. Anyway, I’ve been fiddling around with a different sets for a couple of days now, this is the best I have so far. I really disliked doing the shoot near the dumpsters while I was doing it, but once I saw how good some of the images came out I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t stick it out there more, oh well I guess it’s a ‘next time’ thing now.
